As statements of intent go, this was massive.
Chelsea stretched their lead to five points at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 victory at the Emirates against Arsenal on Sunday.
Two strikes from Didier Drogba and a Thomas Vermaelen own goal sunk Arsene Wenger's side as the rain poured down in London. The Gunners flooded forward but John Terry and the rest of the Blues' rearguard were outstanding.
And judging by this perofrmance, it will take something special for Manchester United and the rest of the pack to deny Carlo Ancelotti's side in the months ahead.
