It was a day of shocks in the Premier League as only two of the top 10 managed a victory, leaving Chelsea three points clear at the summit.
The Blues stumbled to a 3-3 draw at home to Everton, relying on two-goal Didier Drogba but falling foul of sloppy defending. Their blushes were spared, though, by Manchester United's surprise 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa, with Gabriel Agbonlahor bagging the decisive goal.
Tottenham were another club on the receiving end as lowly Wolves defied the form book and won 1-0 at White Hart Lane.
