A century from Tillakeratne Dilshan led Sri Lanka to a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first ODI of 2010.
Captain Kumar Sangakkara chipped in with 74 as the Sri Lankans successfully chased down a target of 261.
Mohammad Ashraful was the hero for Bangladesh earlier in the day with a classy fifty but there was no stopping Dilshan as Sri Lanka cruised to victory.
Sri Lanka face India on Tuesday in the next match of the three-team tournament.
