According to BBC Sport, Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren is to become the new Preston North End manager.
Ferguson left former club Peterborough in November by mutual consent, having helped Posh earn promotion to the Championship in 2009.
He will replace Alan Irvine, who was sacked by Preston last week.
