Four wickets for Danish Kaneria has Pakistan well placed to earn a stylish victory over Australia in Sydney.
Having built a 206-run first innings, Pakistan thwarted an Aussie fightback led by Shane Watson (97) and motored through the lower order. Only Mike Hussey (73*) offered further resistance.
Australia closed on 286-8, just 80 runs ahead, and Kaneria and his team-mates will look to finish the job on day four.
